Encephalartos horridus, is a rare, highly sought after blue Cycad, hailing from South Africa this collectors Cycad is the focal point of any garden with it's icy blue hues, and a status symbol showing a collectors interest for preserving these amazing plants.
As with most Cycads Encephalartos horridus is hardy, and frost and drought tolerant, it produces brown cones ,biennially in the right conditions, and new flushes of leaves range from brown to salmon, which amongst the older blue leaves is a spectacle to behold.
